Topics of concern may include:

Issues with orgasm
Erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, delayed ejaculation
Painful intercourse; vaginismus, and dyspareunia
Ageing and sexuality (for example, menopause)
Sexually Transmitted Infections
Problematic pornography use (porn addiction)
Out of control masturbation or sexual activity (sex addiction)
Individual sexual trauma
Our conversations will explore:
Sexual values, beliefs, and attitudes
Emotional responses and relationship dynamics
Patterns of sexual behaviour
Experiences of pleasure
Strategies and tools to support sexual wellbeing
I work with people of all different backgrounds including individuals and couples from faith communities and those that are part of the LGBTQI+ family.
There is no physical touch or physical examination in sex therapy. All of the work takes place through conversation, guided reflection, and personalised therapeutic approaches. Where needed, sex therapy can also be complemented by other healthcare professionals such as GPs, gynaecologists, pelvic floor physiotherapists, or psychologists.
When to choose Couples Sex Therapy:
If you’re experiencing a sexual concern within a relationship, it’s often most effective to engage in couples sex therapy. Addressing the sexual concern together allows both partners to feel supported and involved. Couples sex therapy overlaps with relationship counselling, but with a stronger focus on the sexual aspects of the dynamic. Having a supportive partner by your side can make a significant difference, and many of the tools, strategies, and insights are most powerful when learned and practised together.
Healing from individual sexual trauma and pornography or sex addiction, requires intensive individual work AND relationship or sex therapy to support the couple in recovering from the impacts of these issues. If you desire to engage with me for couples sex therapy to heal through the impacts of those specific issues for the relationship, it is recommended to seek individual sex therapy with another practitioner- and vice versa.
Please note:
Couples sex therapy is not recommended in situations where there is ongoing domestic abuse, one partner feels afraid of the other partner, and fearful of emotional, physical, or sexual harm. It is also unsuitable when there is active addiction that is not being acknowledged or treated, or when one partner is engaged in an ongoing affair.
If you need support for domestic violence please call DV Connect on 1800 811 811
For alcohol or drug support contact ADIS on 1800 177 833
When to choose Individual Sex Therapy:
Individual sex therapy are for individuals who are single and want to address sexual concerns, heal from past experiences, or strengthen sexual wellbeing before entering a relationship.
As above, healing from sexual trauma and pornography or sex addiction, requires intensive individual work AND relationship or sex therapy to support the couple in recovering from the impacts of these issues. If you desire to engage with me for individual sex therapy on those specific issues, it is recommended to seek relationship therapy with another practitioner- and vice versa.

Approach to Sex Therapy
Sex Therapy draws upon theories and applications from both individual counselling and relationship therapy. To find out more on those specific approaches, visit my individual counselling and relationship therapy page.
I have received specific training in Integrated Relationship and Sex Therapy Foundations, and Problematic Pornography Use. Alongside my sex therapy practice, I am currently completing a Master of Science in Medicine (Sexual and Reproductive Health), majoring in Psychosexual Therapy. This is to continue to enhance my understanding and support of sexual wellbeing. I am a student member with the Society of Australian Sexologists where I engage in ongoing personal development.
