Let’s Talk About It!

Sexual Communication…

Have you ever wanted to communicate about your sexual relationship with your partner, but have felt unsure of where to start or what to say?

This is a common experience for many couples, even ones who would overall say they have strong communication skills. For whatever reason (I’m sure I can name a few!), when it comes to the topic of sex, many people feel stumped as to where to even begin. It may feel awkward, uncomfortable, way too vulnerable, or embarassing.

At the same time, communicating healthily about sex can enhance and enrich your sexual intimacy; improving your overall connection. Communication is the scaffolding of a great relationship, and this too applies in the arena of the bedroom.

Over the next few months, I will be releasing weekly videos on my Wellbeing Counsellor YouTube channel, with an accompanying blog post. This will be my “Let’s Talk About It" series, to give you some ideas of what types of questions you can ask your partner, and prompts to encourage your own sharing.

Let’s get comfortable talking about sex, especially with our partners!

Your sexual satisfaction and pleasure will thank you for it!
